Since the success of our first documentary series for BBC Wales, “Kate Humble: My Welsh Sheepdog’s Tale”, which has already been repeated; BBC Network will be airing a one hour, more condensed version, on BBC 2 at 9pm on Monday 15th August.
“Kate Humble: My Sheepdog and Me”, is a slightly different version, telling a bigger story about the threat of losing British herding dogs. Filmed over a year, the story is told through the eyes of known dog lover and shepherdess, Kate Humble and her rising star of a Sheepdog; Teg is a rare breed, known as a Welsh Sheepdog, a pocket of herding dog that are “biting” back.
Join Kate and her canine companion as they learn how to round up livestock in an attempt to prove that Teg is more than just a pampered pet to a panel of experts, journey across the Welsh landscape to find a perfect mate in order to contribute to these rare dogs and challenge the very concept of what makes a breed, using DNA science.
