Cardiff Filmmaker wins CAVC Award for Creative Industries

Tatu Pictures Ltd Craig Morris CAVC filmmaker awardA huge congratulations to our very own company director Craig Morris for winning another award.  There seems to be no stopping this Cardiff Filmmaker!

The Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC) awards evening was held in Wales Millennium Centre last night.  He took his partner in life and business, Raquel Toniolo and his proud mother to this prestigious event.  There they gave out lots of bubbly and a 3 course tasty meal to about 400 people, all set to an atmospheric backdrop of mood lighting, false trees and a dry ice smoke machine creating a mystical feel; this all on the main stage, giving a performers eye view of the audience’s seating.

He was sat on table 39 out of 39 tables; most tables had 10 people huddled around it; his table had 6 people, which meant no elbow bashing and more free wine.

Craig wants to thank firstly Paul Mallison, who was his course tutor and ‘Yoda’ like mentor.  Paul nominated him for the award; he saw a spark in Craig, and accepted him onto his course, even though he had no experience in the industry.  Without Paul nurturing his creativity, he would not be with Tatu Pictures today.  Secondly he wants to thank Sian Chandler, another influential tutor who opened his eyes to the secrets of the filmmaking language.  Finally, he wants to thank Raquel, his finacee and the co-director of Tatu Pictures, for putting up with him as a mature student, and supporting him throughout mentally, physically, spiritually and financially.

Tatu Pictures is very proud, long may he continue his success!!!
